Shop / bambaw double edge safety razor
The MÜHLE Shaving Culture was born in 1945 at a factory in Saxony, northern Germany. For over 75 years, MÜHLE has designed, developed and manufactured the finest quality shaving products from family-owned premises in this historic region. Today, MÜHLE razors, brushes and accessories are used by shaving enthusiasts worldwide.
In 2021, MÜHLE launched the first safety razor with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender. This journey began in 1945 when Otto Johannes Müller founded the business after returning from the war, making the first shaving brushes and designing the MÜHLE signet.
The company has evolved through the generations. In 1965, Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the growing business, which had expanded to 40 employees and was exporting products to 36 countries. However, in 1972, under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, he was forced to sell the company, which then became state-owned.
In 1987, the business was rebranded and only manufactured brushes for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller became a self-employed brush maker. The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990 marked a new beginning, as Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business, which he then traded as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, retaining the MÜHLE signet.
Struggling to survive after reunification, MÜHLE gradually won new customers and rehired former employees, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 1995. The dawn of the new millennium saw the offering expanded to a full range of wet shaving goods, and the MÜHLE brand came to the fore.
Today, MÜHLE's Closed Comb safety razor provides a close, yet mild wet shave. This premium product, part of the ROCCA series, combines linear design with sleek stainless steel for a distinctly close and comfortable shaving experience. Safety razor blades exfoliate the skin, limiting irritation, and offer a plastic-free, cost-effective shaving solution.
MÜHLE's shaving brushes, crafted from the finest natural badger hair or synthetic fibers, are the centerpiece of the wet shaving ritual, working the lather into the skin to prepare the beard for shaving. Dedicated shaving stands help maintain the longevity of these tools.
Driven by an affinity with nature and a desire for the highest quality, MÜHLE's expert know-how and pioneering spirit flow into every product, whether handcrafted unique items or serially produced goods. As a member of the Environmental Alliance of Saxony, the company is committed to sustainability, cooperating with suppliers who uphold the same high standards.
